MEETING APPROACH AND STRATEGIES

The major objective of this meeting shall be to identify new approaches that are capable of handling the challenge of the fight against poverty at the beginning of the 3rd millenium. A number of papers that are relevant to the conference shall be prepared based on national case studies as well as on the effects of global politics in the area of poverty and its feminization, armed conflicts, refugees and idps.

Each delegation is hereby invited to put together a paper on its own experience that it will share with members of other delegations.

At the conference, which objective is to ensure the participation of all groups, representatives are expected from among african women, The Organization of African Unity, The Economic Community of Africa, The United Nations, NGOs and from The Civil Society.
